About Golden Sands

Golden Sands and Sunny Beach are the largest coastal holiday resorts in Bulgaria. Golden Sands (in Bulgarian: Zlatni Pyasatsi) is a large seaside resort town, located 17 km north of downtown Varna. It is a popular tourist destination for tourist from all over the world. Aladzha Monastery Golden Sands (Zlatni Pyasatsi), Bulgaria
Aladzha Monastery is situated on 14 km north of Varna, near Golden Sands Resort (Zlatni Pyasatsi). The name of “the monastery comes from the turkish word (“aladjha”, ” aladja”), which mean “colourful” due to the bright colours of its wall paintings. Nowadays Aladzha Monastery does not function and it is a monument of culture and a museum.
Aladzha Monastery is a popular tourist attraction for the tourists. A new attraction for the guests of the Black Sea Resorts is the audio-visual show called Legends of Aladzha Monastery. On the walls of Aladzha Monastery can be seen differently coloured incredible frescoes dated back to 13th-14th century.
Natural Park Golden Sands (Zlatni Pyasatsi), Bulgaria
The smallest Natural Park surrounds the resort of Zlatni Pyasatsi. Its main purpose is to protect valuable plants and animal species.

Aquapolis Golden Sands (Zlatni Pyasatsi), Bulgaria
Attraction Park “Aquapolis” is the first water park in Bulgaria. It is located in the northeast part of the Golden Sands and has a capacity of 3000 people. The water park is situated in the forest.
There are different zones for kids and for adults and for extreme sports players. The water park combines a natural park environment with a series of artificially created elements – pools, water slides, jacuzzi, fountains and waterfalls, ancient towers and ruins.
